Newsletter 9 – 2014/2015 11th May 2015
We are already almost in the middle of a busy summer term here in school. The children are enjoying opportunities to make the most of our outdoor environment.
I wish to inform you that Cathy Clack will not be in school for the next few weeks, therefore I will act on her behalf supported by our wonderful team of staff here in school.
I am delighted to let you know that our previous Oak Class Teacher, Emma Samways (formerly O’Neill), gave birth to a baby boy, Bertie, on Friday 1st May, Prior to her maternity leave Emma had been seconded to work as the ‘Acting Deputy Head’ at Broadmayne First School. We have sent messages of congratulations to her and her husband, Ali, and are looking forward to seeing them and meeting their new baby son in the near future.
We are pleased to have appointed Stuart Galloway to lead maths in our school from September. Stuart has led maths in his current school for a number of years and is an experienced teacher. We will let you know in due course of the class he will teach once we have finalised plans for September.
We welcome Sarah Hopcraft to our team of lunchtime supervisors this term. The children have already started to make her feel at home in her new role!
