Friday 27th March

Dear Parents/Carers,

We are nearly at Easter and although it’s been a short half term, yet again it’s been filled with so many things!

You’ll be pleased to hear Mrs Brake is now at home recuperating and is on the road to recovery. I know she’s missing all the children and families of St Mary’s and we hope to see her in the near future. We welcome Mrs Mel Laval, who is teaching in Linden Class, whilst Mrs Brake is off. She is doing a fantastic job and Linden Parents will be able to meet her at parent consultations after Easter.

At the beginning of the half term as you will be aware, we sadly said ‘Goodbye’ to our Chair of Governors Kaz Mascarenas, who I’m sure many of you knew well. She made a great contribution to St Mary’s and will be sadly missed. We welcome Duncan Williams as our new Chair of Governors. Duncan is a serving Governor and we are delighted that he will continue with the invaluable contribution that he already makes to the school.

Last Friday we enjoyed the Talent Show put on by the children and staff. This was in aid of Comic Relief and together with your generous donations and funny photographs we raised a total of £165.

Claudia Carter and Jane Drew will begin their twelve week Incredible Years programme in school on Tuesday 14th April. If you would like to register please see Jane or Bev in the office or contact Claudia in person.

We hope you have a wonderful Easter break and would like to wish you all a restful holiday and look forward to seeing you all in the summer term, when we return on Monday 13th April.

Yours sincerely

Cathy Clack
